Looped In is a series of three interactive sessions inviting people to engage in topics relevant to their work. Informed by Double Loop’s areas of expertise—research and data, communications, strategy and planning—these sessions are designed for people working across nonprofits, foundations, philanthropy, government, or civic engagement groups. Two sessions are offered virtually, while the final session will be held in person in San Antonio, Texas.

Double Loop offers sliding scale tickets for all events as a way to make programming more accessible. Please purchase a ticket that feels relevant and just to you.

Data is everywhere, but it’s only as good as the positive change it inspires. In this virtual presentation, we’ll share community data on education, health, and housing and showcase small scale efforts that are leading big change in the midst of government budget cuts and funding freezes. In a world of ROI’s, KPIs, and AI, this session will center the serious impact on people from the loss of public services compared to true mission-driven work. This session will be especially interesting to people eager to better analyze and/or communicate data in their day-to-day work. Attendees will learn how to be more data-informed and less data-driven and be better equipped to show how their efforts influence community change.

Inspiring messages rely on three core components: the message itself, the way the message is visualized, and the delivery of the message. In this 1-hour virtual presentation, we'll discuss how to prepare all three and become a more compelling public speaker. Participants are encouraged to attend with a public speaking engagement in mind. This might be an existing presentation you want to strengthen, a speech you will give soon, or an elevator pitch you’ve been daydreaming about. Participants will learn how to craft clear and compelling narratives that engage their desired audience and strengthen their capacity to translate their work to broader audiences.

After the presentation, attendees will have the option to register for a $50, one-on-one, 30-minute session to receive tailored feedback on a specific public speaking engagement. These one-on-one sessions will be limited in number and available on a first come, first serve basis.

For years, nonprofits have faced never-ending unprecedented times. Too many are experiencing funding cuts on every level and negotiating how to fulfill their missions without the meaningful language and practices of equity. All the while, the people nonprofits serve continue to need their care and services. This interactive workshop invites nonprofit staff, board members, and funders to think differently about the health and sustainability of their work through times of uncertainty and fear and gain a broader understanding of the shared and distinct concerns about the future from area nonprofits.

We will use future planning questions to guide our discussions, including: What practices no longer work, but nonprofits and/or funders continue to do them? What feels impossible today but if realized, would change everything? What do we have to risk, compromise, or negotiate to achieve an alternative future?

May 14, 2026 | 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM CT
San Antonio, TX (Location TBD)

Lead Facilitator: Kiran Kaur Bains, Day Dreamer

Attendance for this session is capped at 50 people. Registration will close when the event is sold out or 24 hours before the start of the session.
